The Sheikh Zayed Book Award is one of the most prominent literary awards in the Arab world, as it aims to encourage creators and thinkers in the fields of knowledge, arts, and Arab and human culture.

Conditions of the Sheikh Zayed Award

• The candidate’s contribution to the development of thought and creativity in Arab culture
• Submit only one work for one of the award branches
• The work is not nominated for another award in the same year
• Publish the work in paper book form
• The presence of an international numbering (ISBN) for the work

The value of the Sheikh Zayed Award

• 750,000 AED for each winner in the eight branches
• 1,250,000 AED to the winner of the Cultural Personality of the Year Award
• Gold medal and certificate of appreciation for all winners

How to nominate for the Sheikh Zayed Award

2. Fill out the nomination application information
3. Attach the required documents
4. Send the request to the donor

Award management

The award is supervised by a Board of Trustees headed by His Excellency Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, and the award’s scientific body selects the jury committees for each session.
