Participate in a summer training program at Kyoto University and receive full funding that includes all the expenses the student needs.
The main objectives of the Summer Internship Program in Japan at Kyoto University are to provide researchers with a focused and intellectually stimulating summer research program and to equip them with realistic skills and techniques that can be transferred to their future careers in science.
Young men and women will be encouraged to develop their analytical skills by critically evaluating the methods and results of their research.
They will also be able to develop skills in writing research findings and summaries of their findings, as well as communicating effectively with their peers and faculty mentors.
Conditions for summer internship at Kyoto University
Applicants must apply for the summer training program at Kyoto University
- To be a student in one of the colleges or universities (from all over the world) that grant a bachelor’s degree (or its equivalent).
- Must have completed the first year of university study at the time of the start of the summer program
- He must not have completed his university studies (i.e. graduated) before the start of the summer program, and must continue his university studies after the end of the summer program for a period of no less than one semester or quarter.
- Strong academic record
- Proof of English language, with a score of no less than 72 on the TOEFL (iBT) test, or IELTS with a score of 5.5, if English is not your first language.
Funding summer training in Japan

- Scholarship: 180,000 yen will be provided so that students will receive: 90,000 yen at the beginning of the program.

Paperwork
- A copy of the passport or ID.
- The last certificate you obtained must be translated.
- A statement of the student’s grades for the last academic degree obtained, translated into English.

- At least two letters of recommendation.

- Work experience certificates if you have previous experience.
- Volunteer certificates if you have previously participated in volunteer opportunities.
