The Hague University Scholarship to study a Master’s degree in the Netherlands
The Hague University of Applied Sciences scholarship offers up to three scholarships for master’s studies. The scholarship is offered to ambitious and talented students.
The “The Hague University of Applied Sciences Global Talent Scholarship for Citizens” program aims to enhance the international standing of The Hague University of Applied Sciences by promoting and ensuring diversity in international classrooms.
Conditions for the Hague University Scholarship
- Students from outside the Netherlands who do not live in the Netherlands.
- Registration takes place for the first time at The Hague University of Applied Sciences.
- You have not applied for this scholarship before.
- You have been conditionally accepted as a student for the upcoming academic year.
- Nationality: International students can apply for these talent scholarships.
- Admission Requirements: Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree to apply for the Master's
- English Language Requirements: Programs are taught entirely in English, and students will need to have a good command of English, both spoken and written.
Application process for The Hague University Scholarship
Step 1
Apply for the Master's program of your choice using our online application tool.
Step 2
Write an essay (in English, 950 to 1100 words) explaining why and how you can contribute to the multinational and multicultural beehive that is The Hague University of Applied Sciences and how you can contribute to the program of your choice. Please read the essay guidelines and information about assessment procedures below before you start writing.
Step 3
Send your essay by email to masters-admission@hhs.nl . Please mention your name and student number in the essay. Please mention The Hague University scholarship and your student number in the subject line of the email.

Lahague University Scholarship Reviews and Results
We have appointed a panel to judge all articles. Judges will select the three students whose essays most impressed them to receive the scholarship. The jury's decision is binding and will be communicated to you via email before May 15.
Please note that you will only be awarded the Hague University Scholarship after you have been conditionally accepted and have met all registration terms and conditions. Once the scholarship is finally awarded, the relevant amount (€5000) of the tuition fee will be waived as the final payment.
By submitting your article, you give us the right to publish it, if we want to. Scholarship winners are also expected to actively participate in the program and its evaluations, become an ambassador for the Master's programmes, and contribute to the internationalization of our institution.
Hague University Scholarship Funding
Each year, a maximum of three (one-off) scholarships worth €5000 each are available to prospective Master's students.
