Register for the Australian Government Scholarship
There are two ways to apply for the scholarship:
Apply online
Go to the Australian Online Scholarships Information System (OASIS). When you register online, you will be asked to answer a few questions to prove your eligibility. You will then be given a unique registration number, username and password.
You do not need to submit your application immediately. You may prepare and update your draft application form and supporting documentation, up to the specified closing date as in the relevant Participating Country Profile.
Once submitted, your application cannot be changed. We strongly advise online applicants to do this well before the closing date. OASIS experiences peak usage in the days leading up to the closing date and applicants may experience delays.
Submit by mail
If you cannot submit your application online, you can apply by mail. Please check the participating country's profile for contact details for a paper application form and any other templates such as referee reports (if applicable).
Completed application forms and supporting documents must be submitted by the deadline specified by your country. See opening and closing times for each country.
Where can I study?

Can I apply for an award if I intend to immigrate or have permanent residency?
No, Australia Awards are not available to immigrants who wish to or have permanent residence in Australia. Winners are required to leave Australia for a minimum of two years after completion of the scholarship.
