In 2018, the German University Foundation launched the Medicus Scholarship Program for medical students in Germany. 

The target groups are students from families unable to afford education for their children and students from refugee areas.

Medicus grant funding

  • Full financial support
  • Book and lecture fees
  • A monthly salary of 600 euros
  • A grant of 1000 euros to purchase a laptop.

Second advantages of a medical scholarship in Germany

  • Seminars to develop key competencies (twice a year, mandatory)
  • One-on-one personal training with a professional trainer during the study period
  • Participate in scientific events (e.g. DHV symposium) and participate in relevant networks

Duration of the scholarship

Scholarships are awarded for the duration of study, meaning the scholarship can be disbursed from a period of one year up to 7 years.
