Sanad scholarship to study in Doha for free

The Doha Institute for Graduate Studies offers a number of scholarships within the framework of the Sanad 2024 scholarship, to attract academically qualified students from inside and outside the State of Qatar.

The scholarships offered vary. Some are awarded on the basis of academic merit, while others are based on financial need.

Conditions for the Sanad 2024 scholarship

  • A scholarship based on the students’ financial need, and is intended for Qatari and international students residing in Qatar.
  • Students who do not obtain jobs, whether in the government, semi-government, or private sector, provided that they provide a certificate stating that they are not working from the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs.
  • Students who work in private sector institutions that do not fall within the institutions approved by the government scholarship program.

The scholarship covers 100% of the tuition fees charged to students according to each international student program, and its benefits include:

  • 100% tuition fee coverage.
  • Covering the institute’s university housing fees by 100%.
  • Monthly allowances for the student determined by the institute.
  • One-way tickets from the country of recruitment and back to it once upon the end of the study period.
  • Health insurance under the umbrella of the Primary Health Care Corporation for those who prove that they do not have other insurance.
  • Students covered by this program are not entitled to modify the scholarship benefits or claim cash allowances for benefits that they do not benefit from.
  • The terms of the scholarship do not change if the students’ legal status in the State of Qatar changes, except with the approval of the Institute.

Documents required to register for the Sanad 2024 scholarship

  • A copy of an official ID for Qatari and resident students
  • Passport for international students
  • Transcript for bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Final year students submit all transcripts up to the date of application submission.
  • Graduation certificate if the student has already graduated.
  • CV is up to date.
  • TOEFL or IELTS scores or an official statement from the university that English is the language of instruction during the bachelor’s degree. Read more about official English language tests.
  • Personal letter.
  • Academic writing sample (only for applicants to College of Social Sciences and Humanities programs).
