Objectives of the Schlumberger Foundation

The long-term goal of the Schlumberger Foundation program is to accelerate gender equality in STEM fields by creating conditions that increase the number of women pursuing scientific careers by alleviating some of the barriers that...
They face it when enrolling in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) majors.

The Schlumberger Foundation Program is committed to gender equality in science for sustainable development and recognizes that full access to...
STEM curriculum and participation is essential to empowering women and girls.

Developing the talents and capabilities of these women for the benefit of their local communities, regions and countries.

The program awards fellowships for advanced research in STEM at leading research institutes abroad. Future College Fellows are expected to return to their home countries upon completion of their studies to contribute to the economic, social and technological progress of their home regions by strengthening the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) teaching faculties of their home institutions as well as through their leadership.

In science-based entrepreneurship. They are also expected to contribute to the public sector where their newly acquired technical and scientific skills can help provide evidence-based support for STEM policy making, including gender representation topics.

This program acts as a catalyst for these women to further realize their potential. Through heightened motivation, acute self-awareness, and an enduring passion for science, they in turn capture the imagination of other women and girls around them to view scientific endeavors as a necessary means of advancement and growth.

Renewals are largely subject to performance, self-assessment, proof of reintegration plans into the home country, recommendations from your current supervisor (preferably the host and home country) as well as the availability of funding. Strong evidence of exploring other sources of funding should be noted, especially if you have already received one College of the Future renewal grant.
