The Government of the Republic of Mauritius offers scholarships to deserving students to study free of charge and full-time on campus.

Conditions for the Mauritius Government Scholarship

The Government of Mauritius awards scholarships to deserving students according to the following criteria:

  1. For undergraduate programmes, applicants must be over 18 years of age and under 26 years of age
    Date of birth by January 01.
  2. For doctoral programmes, the applicant must not have reached 40 years of age by January 1.
  3. Applicants must have already applied for a full-time, on-campus program (Diploma, Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD) at any public university located within the country.

Scholarship features and duration

The Mauritius Government Scholarship offers the following students:

  • Monthly salary
  • Exemption from tuition fees.
  • flight costs.
  • Medical insurance costs.
  • Study visa.

Scholarship Duration:

  • Bachelor's Diploma Three (3) years
  • Four (4) year university degree
  • Master's degree four (4) years
  • Doctorate for three (3) years

Documents required for registration

  • A copy of the passport or ID.
  • The last certificate you obtained must be translated.
  • A statement of the student’s grades for the last academic degree obtained, translated into English.
  • Motivation letter.
  • At least two letters of recommendation.
  • Biography.
  • Training certificates if you have them.
  • Work experience certificates if you have previous experience.
  • Volunteer certificates if you participated previously With volunteer opportunities.
