Dr. Center offers The Theo and Friedel Schuller Research in Economy and Society Fellowships from the German Schuller Research Center are annually allocated to those interested in two main categories:

  1. Schuler Senior Fellowship: Directed to international scholars with international renown.
  2. Schuler Fellowship: Intended for emerging scholars including qualified researchers, postdoctoral researchers, and outstanding PhD candidates.

These fellowships aim to support research projects of scholars from home and abroad in collaboration with professors in the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences.

Rights and Duties of Fellows in Schuler Research Center Fellowships

The Research Center grants its Fellows an amount of up to €50,000 for each Senior Fellow, and up to €20,000 for each Senior Fellow, to finance the planned research project. Fellows are required to provide their expertise and skills to the University by:

  • Attending the research center ceremony.
  • Mention of support for the Schuler Center in all fellowship-related postings.
  • Provide regular reports on the progress and results of their research.

Selection Criteria for Schuler Research Center Fellowships

Fellows are selected by the Research Center Steering Committee based on the following criteria:

  1. Existing or planned cooperation with professors of the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg.
  2. Scientific excellence demonstrated through publications.
  3. The theoretical basis and practical importance of the proposed research project.
