The strategic partnership between the Rotary Foundation (TRF) and the Dutch Delft Institute aims to address the world's water and sanitation crisis by increasing the number of professionals trained to innovate, plan and implement solutions in developing and emerging countries.

Through this partnership, a limited number of scholarships are awarded annually to graduate students at the Delft campus of the Institute in the Netherlands. Rotarians interview and select from among local candidates who have already been accepted into one of the eligible 18-month Master of Science degree programs at the Delft Institute.

Conditions for the Delft Institute Scholarship

  • The three eligible Master of Science programs are those based at the Delft Institute in Water and Sanitation in Remote Areas, Hydrology and Engineering.
  • Students must return to their country of origin after completing their academic program.
  • Successful applicants will have a strong academic background, significant and relevant professional experience

  • University transcript translated into English.
  • Motivation letter for the desired major in English.
  • A letter of recommendation in English is required.
  • Biography In English.
  • Secondary school certificate.
  • Training certificates are required for enrollment in professional master's programmes.

Delft Institute grant funding

  • A monthly salary ranges from 3000 to 5000 euros.
  • Exemption from tuition fees.
  • Securing a study visa for the Netherlands.
