McGill University Undergraduate Scholarship in Canada supports the academic pursuits of eligible undergraduate students who need financial assistance in medicine and law.

Grant funding

The scholarship is given only to outstanding students according to the following:

  • Exemption from tuition fees.
  • Application fee exemption (not for everyone).
  • Exemption from university housing fees.

McGill University Scholarship Conditions

  • Enroll in a full-time degree program at the university.
  • Proof of financial need
  •  It is possible to apply in any study major previously specified by the scholarship at the university
  •  The age of the applicant must not exceed what the donor agency previously specified (see the section on applying for the scholarship).
  •  You must have a previous degree in accordance with the requirements of the scholarship program
  •  Send the application fully supported by the required documents and facts
  •  Delay in sending the application or lack of documents will cause your application to be rejected
  •  You must meet all conditions and admission criteria at the institution (university).
  •  Complete the scholarship application completely within the specified dates
  •  The requirement to obtain a recognized academic qualification.
  •  You have the right drive and motivation to apply

Applying for a McGill University scholarship

Upon notification of admission to the University (either by official letter or via the Minerva Admission Status page), the application becomes available:

Select the Financial Aid tab, then Awards, then Financial Aid, then Apply for a McGill Entrance Scholarship, then Apply for an Entrance Scholarship Program, then complete and submit your application.


  • A copy of the passport
  • University transcript translated into English.
  • Motivation letter for the desired major in English.
  • A letter of recommendation in English is required.
  • Biography In English.
  • Secondary school certificate.
