Japan scholarship for Yemenis with full funding and a monthly salary
We will discuss all the important topics of the Japan Scholarship for Yemenis offered by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) of Japan.
Students wish to study at Japanese universities as research students (either regular students or non-regular students) under the Japanese Government Scholarship Program (MEXT).

Important dates for registration
- At the beginning of each year, documents for application begin to be received at embassies.
- May 31 each year: Deadline for applications. Only by email (soft copy)
- June 10 of each year: Announcing the results of examining applications via email or phone
- June 20 every year: Written exams and interview at the Embassy of Japan in Yemen (Sanaa Office) and the Embassy of Japan in Riyadh (only for those who pass the application screening).
- Those who pass tests and interviews will be recommended to MEXT, and MEXT will conduct a second screening.
- The final result will be announced around January the following year:

Japanese language test
It is mandatory for you to take the Japanese and English language exam.
You will not be rejected because of your lack of Japanese language ability.
However, trying to answer as well as possible on the Japanese language exam will show your interest in studying in Japan,

Please note that under the MEXT Scholarship Program, the allowance and plane ticket will be covered only for the student who has passed the test and screening.
If you want to bring your family to Japan, the Japanese government will not pay for your visa, allowance or plane ticket. The processing time for the visa and necessary documents may vary depending on how you relate to the family member who wishes to go to Japan with you.

Registration in the Japan Scholarship for Yemenis
- Applicants must have Yemeni citizenship
- Applicants must, in principle, have been born on or after 2 April 1988.
- Send all required documents via email to the Embassy of Japan in Yemen ( [email protected] )
- All application documents must be sent in One email The total file size must be less than 10 MB.
- Please specify in your email which location (Sanaa or Riyadh) you prefer to take the written tests and interview.
- Incomplete applications will not be considered.
- Late applications will not be considered.
