Structure of one year apprenticeship

Since different one-year training courses come from different regions and sectors, the training structure or requirements for the training involved cannot be standardized. But don't worry, there are some commonalities that we can take a look at. Let's begin the journey of exploring how to organize these distinctive training courses.

Let's take the example of school training, which has the advantage of focusing on theoretical education and academic skills rather than direct practical experience in a work environment. In other words, if you are someone who loves sitting in classes and staring at the blackboard, this type of training will be your escape.

In school training, students remain in classrooms where they learn theoretical concepts related to their chosen field. Let's say, if you're studying to become a makeup technician, you'll learn all about skin types, how to use different beauty tools, and skin care techniques. Of course, without touching any real face yet.

Every system has its pros and cons, right?

Among the advantages, students can fully focus on academics and delve deeper into theoretical knowledge. The disadvantages are the lack of practical experience. Once you graduate, you may find yourself facing the real world of work with little experience dealing with co-workers or clients.

Ospeldung 6 months

As we previously talked about Osbildung for a year, there is of course also the option of short training.

This is particularly recommended for trainees who already have job-specific knowledge and qualifications or who are above average and who believe they can learn the entire training content in a short time.

It is best to apply for a shorter period of time immediately after your training contract ends. The following requirements apply to shortening your training duration:

  1. You have previous experience in the field of vocational training you are undertaking.
  2. If you have a university degree, it is possible to get a 6-month Ospeldung discount
  3. Convince the company that you can take the final exam and pass it early.

Shortening the training can, for example, reduce your 2-year training to just one year or transfer from a 1-year Osbildung to a 6-month Osbildung.

That's a great compromise, isn't it?
