Grant conditions

  • Applicants must have a university degree.
  • A postgraduate certificate is an advantage for admission.
  • Two to five years of related work experience.
  • Excellent English language skills.
  • Basic knowledge of the German language is an advantage.
  • No more than 35 years old and physically fit.

Financing scholarship for African students in Germany

  • Individual German language course before departure to Germany
  • Intensive German language course in Germany including fees, accommodation and living allowance
  • Travel expenses – flights, visa, etc.
  • Visa to Germany for one year
  • A round-trip ticket from your hometown to Germany and back
  • Travel to a refresher course and back
  • Travel expenses related to the program in Germany
  • Monthly living allowance during the theoretical phase
  • Monthly living allowance of €750, – (August, September and October 2019; July 2020
  • One-time transfer fee of 1.000 EUR, – to settle back in the home countries
  • The monthly salary during the training period in companies is approximately. 1.500 euros, – total
  • The monthly allowance of 750 euros – the salary guarantees a decent standard of living in Germany
  • Accommodation during all stages of the program in Germany (including internet allowance, electricity, water and other fees)
  • Accident insurance and liability insurance
  • Training courses in international management
  • Study tour and weekend seminars in Germany
  • Refresher course in Germany or Africa, including management training
  • Alumni network activities
