The Ira Frances Davis Scholarship is a scholarship in support of tuition fees, and will be awarded to female students who demonstrate academic excellence and who are in financial need of assistance.

Conditions for the female students’ scholarship

  • Must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Must be accepted to study a postgraduate Master's program in the Faculty of Humanities and Health Sciences at Swansea University.
  • Proficiency in the English language.
  • Opportunity for women only who are citizens of developing countries.
  • Demonstrate academic excellence and financial need for support.
  • You must be from and reside in a developing country outside the European Union, and be listed in the World Bank’s classification as “low-income” or “lower-middle-income”.
  • Not receiving any other financial support from Swansea University (for example, tuition fee reductions or scholarships).
  • The student must not be an applicant from college at Swansea University.
