VeChainThor is the world's leading public enterprise-level development platform. VeChain was launched in 2015, and currently has very large sites and businesses in Europe, Asia and America.

VeChain's mission is to lower the barrier to using blockchain technology and allow projects and companies to leverage blockchain technology to solve real-world problems. 

This hackathon focuses on supporting projects, by developing powerful tools and add-ons for the VeChainThor blockchain, which helps provide foundational resources to create an ideal building environment.

Do you know what blockchain is: a blockchain explorer service for cryptocurrencies, as well as a cryptocurrency wallet and cryptocurrency exchange that supports Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, and Ethereum. They also provide data charts, statistics, and market information for Bitcoin. 

Blockchain hackathon requirements

Participants joining now should develop new frameworks and tools that will benefit future construction. Example:

  • Tools to start developing in blockchain
  • Tools for writing, compiling, debugging, and testing smart code
  • Development For Python And JavaScript
  • Dealing with design libraries (front-end) that help programmers and developers create user applications related to the VeChainThor blockchain
  • Ports of popular ETH tools such as Truffle, Hard Hat, etc.

Python SDK ABI V2 project

If the entrant's core project also meets the following requirements, it will be eligible for the Python SDK ABI v2 award. 

  • Update Thor-devkit.py to support ABI v2 functionality
  • Write brief documentation on design decisions and how to use the updated library
  • Write tests to cover the functionality provided by the project
  • Make a pull request via GitHub on the original file
