Lanzhou University Scholarship in China

Students can send an application for a scholarship to Lanzhou University in China. The scholarship covers tuition fees and housing costs and provides an annual stipend of CNY 15,000.

The scholarship is subject to annual review. Starting from the second year, a decision to award the scholarship is made based on the overall performance and academic results of the previous year.

Lanzhou University Scholarship Requirements

Applicants must be citizens of countries other than the People's Republic of China and must maintain good health.

In particular:

• Applicants must have a high school diploma and be under 25 years old when applying for undergraduate programs.
• Applicants must have a bachelor's degree and be under 35 years of age when applying for master's programmes.
• Applicants must have a master's degree and be under 40 years of age when applying for doctoral programs.
• We require that you obtain an HSK4 certificate as all programs are taught in Chinese.
• We require that you have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0 or equivalent.

What documents will I need?

1. Scanned copy of highest attested diploma. Chinese/English translation is required for non-Chinese and English texts. Prospective students must submit official documentation issued by their current school to prove current student status or expected graduation date. Once accepted, you are required to submit the original certificate upon registration.
2. Scanned copies of certified academic records. Chinese/English translation is required for non-Chinese and English texts; Future graduates may provide current academic records when applying. After acceptance, you must provide complete records when registering.
3. A scanned copy of the main page of the passport.
4. Study plan/research proposal.
5. Letters of recommendation from at least two professors/associate professors.
6. Certificate of no criminal record.
7. A scanned copy of a valid Alien Medical Examination Form.
8. Scanned copy of HSK4 certificate or above.
9. Acceptance letter from a supervisor (if applicable) A form for provisional admission of an international student by LUT.docx supervisors.
10. Publications (if applicable).
11. Letter of Financial Guarantee.docx.
