Seoul National University Scholarship Conditions

This scholarship is aimed at ambitious international students looking to begin their academic journey at SNU. Applicants are required to have successfully completed secondary school or its equivalent, and to have an outstanding academic record that qualifies them to enroll in undergraduate programs at the university.

Applications for this scholarship are open every year. Interested students must submit their applications on time through the Korean Embassy in their countries.

The selection process for accepted students takes place in two stages. In the first stage, Korean embassies in applicants' countries review applications and select qualified candidates. Selected applications are then sent to the National Institute for International Education (NIIED) in Korea, where the final selection process takes place.

Regarding the language required for study, there is a difference according to specialization. There are majors taught in English and there are majors at Seoul National University taught in Korean. Documents required for registration at Seoul National University

Translation of documents must be done by a certified translator and must always accompany the original documents as well.

• A copy of the passport or ID.
• The last certificate you obtained must be translated.
• A statement of the student’s grades for the last academic degree obtained, translated into English.
• Motivation letter.
• At least two letters of recommendation.

• Training certificates if you have them.
• Work experience certificates if you have previous experience.
• Volunteer certificates if you have previously participated in volunteer opportunities.

Seoul National University Scholarship Date

Application begins on July 8, 2024 and ends on July 11, 2024. After receiving registration applications, the university will send admission applications only to students accepted to attend the personal interview for the specified colleges, and then, accordingly, final acceptance letters will be sent to prepare for visa registration at the embassy and travel to study.
