The Japanese University is an Egyptian government university with a Japanese partnership in the new Borg El Arab city in Alexandria.

The university is based on creating joint cooperation between the governments of Egypt and Japan in order to strengthen Egyptian-Japanese relations, which will advance human development in the entire region.

  • This is done by strengthening ties and cooperation between Egyptian and Japanese academic institutions,
  • As well as industrial companies to conduct applied research while applying Japanese educational standards, policies and systems.

Advantages of the Japanese Egyptian University Scholarship

Academic Excellence Scholarship

  • 40% reduction in tuition fees for students who obtain a grade of 95% or more
  • 30% discount on tuition fees for students with a score of 90-95%
  • 20% reduction in tuition fees for students who obtain a score of 85-90%

STEM School Scholarships

  1. يُمنح الحاصلين على الثانوية العامة من مدارس STEM 40% نسبة تخفيض للمصروفات الدراسية (غير شاملة الإقامة والتغذية).
  2. Those who have graduated from high school from STEM Burj Al Arab schools are granted a 50% reduction in tuition fees (not including accommodation and food).
  3. Students enrolled at the university who do not enjoy any type of scholarship:
    They receive a grant of more than 20% reduction in tuition fees (not including accommodation) for the academic year if they obtain a GPA of 3.5 for the previous academic year (general grade, not cumulative).

Japanese Egyptian University fees

Egyptian Japanese University of Science and Technology fees vary from one college to another within the university, and the expenses do not include accommodation in the university city, and we will explain the fees for each university as follows:

  • The fees required to join the Faculty of Engineering and its specializations are 80 thousand pounds for Egyptian students, and 15 thousand dollars for non-Egyptian students. Fees are paid in two equal installments over two semesters.
  • The fees required to join the College of International Business and its specializations for Egyptian students are 62 thousand pounds and for non-Egyptian students 12 thousand dollars in two equal installments.

Conditions for the Japanese Egyptian University scholarship

  • The applicant must not be more than 21 years old on September 1
  • Male applicants must provide evidence explaining their position on military service.
  • Applicants with foreign degrees must provide proof of completion of twelve (12) years of study
  • Accepted students with foreign certificates must pass the Arabic language and religious education exams for the high school level, before or after being accepted to the university.
  • Applicants from abroad must obtain a certificate equivalent to a high school diploma approved by the Supreme Council of Universities in Egypt.
  • For colleges of engineering and business administration: Applicants with Egyptian nationality are required to complete secondary education (obtaining the Egyptian General Secondary School Certificate - Mathematics Department - or its equivalent such as the American Diploma, IGCSE).
  • Proof of English language proficiency if available (IELTS or TOEFL test scores).
