Fortunately, the TOEFL test is not about success or failure, but rather about determining a specific score.
- The TOEFL test consists of four basic skill sections – reading, listening, writing and speaking.
- Each represents 25% of your final grade.
- Each section of the test has a score range from 0 to 30, with a maximum score of 120.
- It is possible to get a good overall score by compensating for your weaker skills with a higher score in your stronger skills.
- Your final score will be a combination of your individual scores
You will receive 4 TOEFL scores for the calculated section and an overall score.
- Each section has a score range from 0 to 30.
- These are added together to give a total score of 0-120.
- Each skill has 4 or 5 proficiency levels so when your score falls within this range it tells you your proficiency in that skill.
