Your scholarship will be discontinued and you will have to study as a self-funded student. The scholarship will be revived if you clear all your accumulated examination papers in time. Yes. ICCR India Scholarships provides medical treatment as per the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) rules of the Government of India. Reimbursement is made only to the extent possible within CGHS rules even if the treatment is taken in private hospitals.

You will receive a three-month advance salary upon arrival. You must open your bank account at the nearest State Bank of India branch to receive further scholarship dues, because after the first three months, all payments will be transferred to the bank account only.
After completing the admission formalities, the student must ensure registration with the local Foreign Regional Registration Office (FRRO) within two weeks of his arrival in India. After registering with the FRRO, he/she must obtain a residence permit within 90 days. The student must also open his/her bank account within one month of arrival, so that his/her salary can be deposited in his/her bank only.
It depends on the university in question. Some universities may conduct an interview before finally selecting the candidate, hence the applicant must be prepared for this.
Applicants can join the course preferably a day or two before the final date of joining. If a student is not able to join within one month, his/her admission will be considered cancelled.

ICCR Scholarships are offered for studies in Indian State and Central Universities only. ICCR Scholarships are not offered to study in private Indian universities or Deemed universities. Therefore the applicant is advised not to apply for any university in India.
ICCR forwards applications sent by Indian Missions to Central and State Universities of India in different states, a list of which is available on the A2A ICCR Scholarship Portal/in the application form. ICCR does not send applications to any private and reputed universities in India.

Applicants seeking admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses must apply for a “student visa”. Those seeking M.Phil admission. And Ph.D. Courses must apply for a “Research Visa”. Once admission has been confirmed, the applicant must apply for the correct category of visa for the courses listed above. If the incorrect visa is approved, the applicant may be returned to his/her country for the correct visa category.
Once the university verifies your eligibility and confirms your provisional admission, the Indian Mission in your country will receive a confirmation.
Yes, you can apply for three options. However, admission is subject to meeting the criteria of the respective university.
No, submitting an application is not a guarantee of your admission, as your admission is determined by the university concerned on the basis of your credentials and in accordance with their eligibility criteria. The Indian Mission and Indian Council Scholarships have no role in the admission process and confirmation of admission is non-transferable.
No, it is not possible to make any changes once your application has finally been submitted. However, in case of any major discrepancy, Indian Council Scholarships in that country may send a letter to apply for a new application again only.
You must select the option “Student Registration” on the home page of the Indian Council Scholarship Portal. When you fill the fields at the time of registration, you will get a unique user ID and password to apply online. This user ID and password will be sent to you on your email. Using your user ID and password, you can access and fill the application form. Please fill out the application according to the instructions and click the “Save” button after filling out each page, then move to the next page. Once the process is completed, you can press the “Submit” button. When successfully submitted, you will receive a registration number that can be used as an additional reference.
If you are interested in applying for the ICCR scholarship but do not have an internet connection or access, you can go to the Indian Embassy and meet the Education Officer of the Embassy. Embassy officials will help you fill out the application.
