Estonia Government Scholarship
The purpose of the Government of Estonia Scholarship Guide is to provide conditions and procedures for the disbursement of scholarships under the National Scholarship Program for foreign students, researchers and lecturers.
Conditions for the Estonia government scholarship
- The scholarship supports the participation of foreign students in summer and winter schools at Estonian universities.
- Scholarships can be applied for for bachelor's, master's and doctoral studies.
- Students who, by the time of application, have studied at their university for at least one year
- The scholarship can be used to participate in relevant summer school courses
- Organization of the study of the Estonian language in Estonian higher education institutions

Registration for the Estonia Government Scholarship
Scholarship applications are only submitted online through the website of the Estonian Ministry of Higher Education, taking into account the following provisions:
- Applications are accepted once a year.
- Application deadline is May 1
- The possibility of submitting an application will open one month before the previous date
- The application is submitted by a student from a foreign higher education institution in the application form in English
Content of the application for registration in the Estonia government scholarship
The following tasks and notes are essential for registering in the Estonia Scholarship Program
- The application containing the motivation letter must be submitted electronically
- A copy of your passport or ID card;
- A copy of a foreign university certificate for studying at a foreign higher education institution
- Confirmation about enrollment in an Estonian university
- While submitting the application, the applicant can apply for a scholarship to participate
- If the documents are not Estonian or English, they must be provided with translations also in English or in Estonian.
- All documents must be uploaded to the application system.
